MEMORANDA

It is thought that Mary E. RICE is a descendant of Edmund RICE, who landed in Boston in 1638 and settled in Sunbury ?, Mass.

Dr. Charles Elmer RICE, who wrote a bok on the old generation, is a descendant of the above Edmund RICE.

There are four generations of RICE''s now living, Ed; Wilbur RICE Sr; Ed W. RICE Jr. (Past President of G. E. & Co.); Chester William RICE; and Wilbur C. RICE. These are descendants of Robert ROYSE (one way of spelling RICE) who came from Buckinghamshire, England and landed in Boston in 1631 and settled near there. There was also a RICE who migrated from England to France and then to Charleston, S.C. 7/25/25.
