searchable database of birth records 1860-1915. This project is
not complete. Surnames beginning with letters P-Z are not indexed

Wheaton Vital
Records Index
Located at the Wheaton Public Library. The
database features birth, marriage and death events which were printed in
local Wheaton, Illinois newspapers. Covers years 1885 to 1888 and
is searchable by surname, event, place and soundex. This is an
ongoing project.

covers years 1878-1915.
Clinton County Death Indexes
Located at the Clinton County GenWeb. This is an
index to death record book 1. Covers years 1877-1903 and includes
full name of deceased, page number and record number.
Coles County - City of Matoon Death Register
Located on the Illinois State Archives site.
Searchable database covers years 1899-1918.
Danville - Pape Mortuary Death Records Database
Located at Pape Mortuary of Danville, IL, the
searchable database consists of over 275,000 records of death collected
from newspapers, cemeteries and other sources.
DeWitt County Coroner's Inquest Record Index
Located at the Illinois State Archives. The
index covers years 1924-1977.
DeWitt County Death Indexes
Located at the DeWitt GenWeb Project. The index
covers years 1878-1917. The list is alphabetical and includes full
name of deceased, date of death, location in record books.
Illinois Database of Death Certificates
Located on the Illinois State Archives site, the index covers years
1916-1950. This is an index of death certificates which are on
file in the Illinois Department of Health.
Illinois Pre1900 Death Records Database
Located on the Illinois State Archives site.
This index is still in progress and features records of death found in
original county clerk's death records such as death registers and
licenses. Index gives the name of the deceased, date of death,
place of death and if known the age and sex of the deceased with a
citation to the original record of death.

this is an index of Books 1 through 8 and covers years 1877-1916.

Macoupin County Coroner's Inquest Record Index
Located at the Illinois State Archives. The
index covers years 1835-1928.
Menard County Death Indexes
Located at Morgan Area Genealogy, this death records
index covers years 1877-1910 and lists license number, full name of
deceased, age, occupation, date of death, marriage status, where born,
place of death, cause of death and burial place.
Schuyler County Historical Death Indexes
Located at Schuyler County GenWeb, this death records
index covers various years from 1849 to1903 and lists full name of deceased, age, date
and place of death and burial place.
Vermillion County Coroner's Inquest Record Index
Located at the Illinois State Archives. The
index covers years 1908-1956.
Wayne County Coroner's Inquest Record Index
Located at the Illinois State Archives. The
index covers years 1888-1960.

alphabetical indexes to marriages which occurred in Clint County, IN.
Includes name of bride, name of groom, comments, who performed the

line which is the location of the original record in record books.
Illinois Statewide Marriage Index
Located on the Illinois State Archives site, the index
covers years 1763-1900. Searchable by bride's name, groom's name
and county.

Illinois law required birth and death certificates to
be filed in 1916 and since that time they have been filed at the
Illinois Dept. of Public Health. Delayed birth records date back
to the mid 1800s.

They are also filed at the County Clerk's office in each Illinois
County. The earliest known Illinois marriage record is from 1763.
Divorce records are on file in the circuit court in
each county.
